Brighton, UK – INTO University Partnerships (INTO) has become the first organisation to successfully complete the UK Agent Quality Framework (AQF) audit, setting a new benchmark for integrity and accountability in international student recruitment.

By undergoing this rigorous assessment, INTO reaffirms its unwavering commitment to ethical, transparent, and student-first practices. As an early signatory of the AQF Pledge, INTO is proud to lead the sector in aligning with the UK’s national standards for agent management.

The AQF, developed collaboratively by the British Universities' International Liaison Association (BUILA), Universities UK International (UUKi), the British Council, and the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA), sets a sector-wide benchmark for best practices in agent management. It is built on four core principles:

  1. Empowering student choice and enabling informed decision making
  2. Ensuring good agent governance and professionalism
  3. Promoting ethical agent practices, professional knowledge, and competency
  4. Increasing transparency and accountability

INTO was audited against all 17 AQF Pledge commitments. The results demonstrated strong performance: the organisation achieved compliance in 7 areas, was recognised for best practice in 8, and received advisory guidance in just 2 underscoring its strong foundation and commitment to continuous improvement. In addition, INTO demonstrated 34 examples of best practice from Edified’s Agent Management Appraisal.

John Sykes, CEO of INTO, stated: "Our commitment to the UK Agent Quality Framework underscores our dedication to upholding the highest standards in international student recruitment. This initiative empowers student choice and promotes informed decision-making. By integrating ethical practices, rigorous training, and transparent processes across our global operations, we are not only supporting our students and partners but also reinforcing our shared vision of quality and integrity in global education."
