Thirteen of INTO’s university partners in the US, the UK and Australia have appeared in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023, released this week, with six institutions counting among the top 200 higher education institutions globally.

The University of Manchester ranks No. 54 among all universities worldwide in this year’s THE rankings, and The University of Western Australia ranks No. 131, climbing one place from its 2022 position. At the same time, the University of Exeter ranks No. 137, climbing six places from its 2022 spot, and Newcastle University ranks No. 139, climbing seven places from its 2022 spot.

Released today as “the definitive list of the world’s best universities,” the THE rankings cover three main missions of university activity: research, teaching and impact.

Completing INTO partner universities’ representation in the top 200 for THE are our recruitment partner the University of Arizona, which ranked No. 180, and Queen’s University Belfast, which climbed three places from its 2022 ranking to reach No. 198 globally. The University of East Anglia, our first university partner, ranked just outside the top 200 at No. 201.

In addition, George Mason University and Saint Louis University tie in this year’s THE World University Rankings, both coming in at No. 301. This constitutes a notable leap for Saint Louis University, which was placed at No. 501 in the 2022 rankings. City, University of London and the University of Stirling have also tied this year, ranking No. 351 among all higher education institutions in the world.

Finally, INTO’s recruitment partner Colorado State University is listed at No. 401 in the THE 2023 global rankings, and Manchester Metropolitan University comes in at No. 601.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 cover 1,799 universities across 104 countries and regions, which makes them one of the largest, most diverse set of university rankings. Institutions are ranked according to 13 indicators that measure performance across teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

“Congratulations to all our partner universities whose excellence has been recognized in this year’s THE World University Rankings. We are proud to partner with a wide range of institutions renowned for their strong academic traditions, world-class research and global impact,” said Olivia Streatfeild, CEO of INTO University Partnerships.

“As the world emerges from the shadows of the pandemic, we are seeing an upswing in the number of students who are willing to cross continents in pursuit of world-class education. At INTO, we are committed to supporting thousands of such international students in their life-changing journeys — from enrollment to employment — as they study at our centers and with our esteemed university partners.”
