Next month, INTO City, University of London students will join City University students on a three-day programme designed to improve their employability through developing their leadership skills and boosting their confidence.
Participants in Future Leader Experience with Common Purpose will find out first-hand how business leaders succeeded in their careers; go behind the scenes of organisations across different sectors; and work together to develop solutions to real-life challenges.
The experiential programme will take students out of the classroom and into the city toexplore leadership in practice and give them the chance to participate in challenging discussions with leaders. The aim being to help students to develop insight into how decisions are made and give them the key skills needed to build a vision and create new products. Previous participants have visited, among other organisations: Santander, The Department for Education, KPMG, The Big Lottery Fund and ITV Central.
“This experience really increased my awareness of how important leadership is today. It is a great opportunity to meet industry leaders and like-minded students, so I strongly recommend this amazing opportunity!” said an International Politics student who participated in 2018.
Around 62,000 people have taken the programme so far and, following the course, participants are given access to the 360 portal – an online community of Future Leader Experience alumni that has become an ongoing, broad and fast-growing source of ideas.
Through the 360 portal students can collaborate with other leaders across the world on universal challenges, and progress and implement their innovative solutions.
