Newcastle University entered into a joint venture partnership with INTO in February 2007 in order to build its international profile and increase access to ambitious students from around the world. The University has enjoyed significant success since the partnership launch.
There has been a 211% increase in the number of new undergraduate international students studying at the University - growing faster than the Russell Group and nearly two times faster than the UK higher education sector average. The cumulative tuition impact on the UK higher education sector of students who progressed from INTO Newcastle university to further study is estimated to be £215.1 million.
98% of all Pathway students were eligible to progress to the Newcastle University in 2019–20. Passed students are those who successfully passed their pathway, of those who completed Eligible students are those who qualiﬁed for admission to the University, of those who passed their pathway.
