International enrollment

In 2008, the university partnered with INTO University Partnerships to accelerate its performance through an innovative new model. This model provided OSU with access to private sector investment and resources to build capacity and extend its global reach while retaining full control over all academic aspects of the program.

Between 2008 and 2019, the first decade of partnership, Oregon State University rose more than 100 places from 172 to 66 in the Nation for international student population.

Economic impact

The revenues from the partnership have been invested in enriching the educational experience for both domestic and international students, enabling the university to invest heavily in additional faculty to support further growth. In 2011, the university opened a $55M International Living and Learning Center in the heart of the campus.

Student success

INTO Oregon State University students overwhelmingly enjoy their time at the center — 96% were satisfied with their overall experience. In 2019-20, 91% of all completed Pathway students were eligible to progress at OSU, 99% of whom enrolled.
